Pennsylvania Schoolgirl Watercolor simple old watch holder There is a small openingOf all the things found in the last two weeks, this one feels to me the dearest at the moment. 19th century, likely done by a school girl, probably in Pennsylvania, watercolor on lined paper. A flower that also looks like a figure wearing a skirt, with ochre leaves looking both like pears and like boxing gloves, and a pointed end, roots, like a carrot, or a blade, or a ballerina on point. Looks a bit like an ice cream cone too. Layers of life and
