This is a handsome smaller species that reaches 1-2 feet in diameter

It produces a blue stem that is woody below and branches in time but stays small

as well as the spines in some plants

This is a larger specimen than I usually offer

Some people consider var. maughanii to be a species of its own, largely because the leaves come out in a spiral, but most now say it is just a variety of H. truncata. Leaf windows have a snowflake pattern on them. Plants flower off and on all year round. Haworthias are primarily winter growers so give more water in the cooler months and less during the hot months.
