SOLD Large Oil on Masonite Painting of Three Skaters in Colorful Hats and Coats handblown glass bowl 5 1/2" x 3 1/4"

5 1/2" x 3 1/4" and in good condition

just struck me as quite a nice one

with three of the cards showing railway signals to be read at a distance of 20 feet--as these were commonly used for testing the vision of train conductors/railway workers

some of these are dyed the most gorgeous shades of yellow--some darker

but I like it all the more for the wear

It took him pointing out that he thought the three young women portrayed were ice skaters, perhaps at Rockefeller Center, for me to see that I was just lost in the strangely balletic poignantly awkward gestures, and in the very excellent colors of their coats
